Our story

Organics Alive was founded in 2004 by surfers from San Clemente, California. Growing up in the water gave us something most fertilizer companies don't have, a visceral, personal understanding of what's at stake when chemicals leach into our waterways and poison our oceans. That connection to nature didn't just shape who we are. It shaped everything we make.
Over the past 20+ years we built our reputation as Organics Alive in one of the most demanding growing environments in agriculture; cannabis cultivation. Where quality is everything, scrutiny is relentless, and there is zero room for compromise. That's where OA-Ag was forged. And those same biology-first, zero-chemical, zero-salt principles we developed for premium cannabis are now driving regenerative results across diverse crops and climates worldwide.
We are not just a fertilizer company. We are farmers. We tend 130 acres of farmland nestled in the San Felipe hills of San Diego, including 25 acres of organic high-grade hemp and one of the healthiest olive orchards in Southern California. Farming is not a marketing story for us, it's our daily reality.
We understand the blessings and burdens of growing because we live them every season. Our team of farmers, surfers, and soil scientists has spent two decades developing carbon-based fertilizer technology built on fermentation, microbial extraction, and biological science, all without animal by-products, heavy mining, or conventional salt composition. We believe science and nature are not opposites. They are partners. And that belief drives every product we make.
What moves us is simple: healthier soil, cleaner waterways, quality inputs and better yields. A farming future that doesn't cost the earth its health to feed its people. Through our products, our farm, our growing community, and our environmental advocacy, we are on a mission to enhance the human connection with the natural world and the farmers who tend to it.
